King Square Studios

The project undertaken at King Square Studios involved upgrading the thermal performance of the building by installing a new external wall insulation system to a multi-storey student accommodation at.

This project was completed in a live environment where the students had to remain in occupation throughout.

Specific challenges included ensuring the EWI was installed during the summer months for curing purposes. The project was completed with a fabric first approach, maximising the airtightness of the building through increasing the levels of insulation, while optimising natural ventilation throughout the building.
