Aberbeeg

Aberbeeg Hospital is a large Hospital dating back to 1922 which is located on a 6 acre site outside Aberbeeg. Parts of the Hospital buildings are Grade 2 Listed.

The older parts of the hospital were largely derelict/redundant with two dilapidated wings formed off a long central corridor. There is one modern ward called Bevan Ward which appears to have been constructed within the last 20 years.

The new Hospital facility will initially be registered as a low secure unit providing accommodation for twelve adult patients. This project comprises the refurbishment of Bevan Ward to bring it up to an acceptable anti-ligature standard, together with the creation of a new Therapy Suite in one of the redundant wings of the older hospital to support Bevan Ward.
