Lancer Scott Facilities Management strengthens team with key appointment

Lancer Scott Facilities Management has expanded its core service offering with the launch of a dedicated Passive Fire Protection team.

The investment is being led by the appointment of Zoe Brown as Head of Passive Fire, who will drive the growth of the new department and strengthen the company’s technical capability in this critical area of building safety.

Operating as part of Lancer Scott’s Facilities Management division, the new department will provide fire risk assessments and certified solutions including fire-rated door installation, inspection and maintenance, fire stopping inspections, compartmentation, associated passive fire works and emergency maintenance requirements.

An experienced fire protection specialist, Zoe will play a key role in the firm’s growth strategy. Her remit includes building and developing the Passive Fire Protection department, advising on existing contracts and working with the wider business to pursue new opportunities.

Daniel Knight, Managing Director at Lancer Scott Facilities Management, said: “Our expansion into Passive Fire Protection marks an exciting new chapter for our company. Having delivered a broad range of facilities management services for more than 30 years, adding a comprehensive Passive Fire Protection service to our core offering is a natural progression for the business.

“Our growth is driven by a commitment to delivering measurable, long-term outcomes for our clients, and I’m proud of the reputation Lancer Scott has built across the FM market. Under Zoe’s leadership, we are well placed to strengthen our position in Passive Fire Protection through quality, continuous improvement and technical expertise.”

Working with clients including University of the West of England (UWE), Co-op, Whitbread and Tesco through a successful partnership-led approach, Lancer Scott Facilities Management has achieved 20% year-on-year turnover growth for three consecutive years.

The company is already delivering Passive Fire Protection solutions via an in-house team for clients including Co-op, UWE and Whitbread.

Ross Saville, Operations Director at Lancer Scott Facilities Management, said: “Our management team has the ideal blend of experience and expertise to successfully expand our core FM offering and place the company on a stronger growth trajectory.

“I am delighted to welcome Zoe to the team. With a strong commitment to compliance and a proven ability to deliver complex projects, she brings the knowledge, structure and leadership needed to help the department go from strength to strength.

“In her previous role, Zoe supported and mentored a national team of project managers delivering challenging Passive Fire Protection works across multiple sectors. That experience means she can hit the ground running, working with our specialist teams to build collaborative relationships with our valued clients and partners across the country.”

The team already holds BM TRADA and FIRAS accreditations, with Authorised Persons providing the in-house technical competency and governance behind the Passive Fire Protection service to safeguard people and property.

Commenting on her new role, Zoe added: “I’m excited to be joining Lancer Scott FM and to have the opportunity to work with the management team and the wider business to grow our Passive Fire Protection offering. It is great to see proactive investment in such an important area of building safety.

“Being part of the foundation for bringing these services into the company’s core FM offering and helping to shape processes and systems from the outset, is something I’m proud to be part of.”
