The Brief: 

Our client is an award-winning UK based architecture, landscape and interior design practice. Previously based in the Creative Quarter, Morgan Arcade, the recent growth of the Cardiff studio meant larger premises were needed.

HLM secured Suite 1B at the historic Grade II listed Hodge House. With our in-depth knowledge of the building and having successfully completed fit outs for Compare My Move and the landlord, Legal and General Investment Management at Suite 2B, the client partnered with us to deliver their new Cardiff studio.

The Solution:

HLM provided us with the concept design, and we developed their vision to ensure it worked with existing services and with minimal changes to the CAT A refurbishment.

 The package of fit out works included the installation of partitions, floor finishes, decoration, mechanical and electrical modifications and additions, teapoint and furniture.

Featuring a large open plan working environment, the space now includes a dedicated social space in the form of a communal lounge, a meet and greet area and break out space. For collaboration and creative thinking, semi-private meeting zones are available as well as touchdown desks, providing HLM with a combination of spaces and catering to a range of working styles and preferences.

Together with the client, our team managed the logistical move from their previous Cardiff office, which involved dismantling furniture, packing and transporting to the new studio.
